Location: Rochester
Salary: Up to £65,000, based on your skills and experience. We’re excited to recruit for a variety of technical and leadership roles!
What You’ll Be Doing:- Mentorship: Guide and support less experienced engineers, fostering their career development and well-being.
- Collaboration: Work together to uncover innovative technical solutions and share valuable recommendations.
- Strategic Contribution: Play a key role in project strategy and help implement impactful initiatives.
- Project Insight: Understand the scope, size, and timing of work packages, ensuring they contribute to overall project success.
- Resource Management: Assess team size and skillset needs, providing regular updates and recommendations to project and functional engineering managers.
- Dependency Management: Identify and enable necessary dependencies across the team.
- Business Support: Create new estimates for bids and maintain schedules and budgets for ongoing projects.
Essential:
- Proven experience in systems engineering and product lifecycle.
- Familiarity with engineering tools like DOORS, Siemens Polarion, Enterprise Architect, CAMEO, MATLAB, and/or Simulink.
- Experience leading a team and making impactful decisions from both technical and managerial perspectives.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant Scientific/Engineering field (e.g., Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Aerospace, Physics, or Mathematics).
Desirable:
- Experience managing a systems engineering team in relevant product markets.
- Background in integration, testing, and/or verification of real-time and/or safety-related systems.
- Understanding of information assurance, cyber security, and environmental impact aspects related to real-time embedded engineering products.

The Systems Engineering Team:We’re on the lookout for experienced and dynamic individuals to lead coordination and strategy for systems engineering on various projects. This role supports the functional department and projects through work package scope, scheduling, resources, and strategy. You’ll collaborate with Engineering Project Managers to understand both near-term (3-6 months) and long-term (18-24 months) work plans, leading a talented team of engineers to achieve your goals.
