Reports To: Sr. Operations Specialist
Summary: This is a "proactive position" which requires the qualified candidate to have the ability to see accidents, incidents and near misses before they occur. Must have previous knowledge of warehouse inspections, that may consist of building, equipment, fire extinguisher, safety and ground inspections. Must meet the organizational standards the company upholds. The potential candidate should have experience in report writing, excel worksheets, word documents and the ability to problem solve. Facilities specialist play a key role in maintaining assets, improving efficiency, and creating a safe functional environment for occupants.
Responsibilities:
- Support routine maintenance, scheduling repairs for building systems and equipment
- Contacting and working with outside contractors to obtain bids and oversee the projects
- Support maintenance crews, custodians, and other skilled trade workers and assigning tasks
- Support monitoring and managing budgets for facility maintenance, repairs and supplies
- Ensure facilities and equipment adhere safety, health, and federal regulations (OSHA and EPA)
- Developing preventive maintenance plans that will ensure the building is operational for any incidents
- Effectively communicating with employees, staff, and contractors to convey info and resolve issues
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze conditions, and determine effective solutions for facility
- Assisting and directing staff and vendors to achieve operational goals that play a part in our productivity
Secondary:
- Assisting with general administrative support
- Maintaining office supplies and equipment
- Providing customer service to building occupants
- Performing other miscellaneous tasks asked of you by manager
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- OSHA 10 certification
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team setting.
- Basic knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

The estimated base salary range for the Business Development Specialist is $55,700-$61,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
