Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Floor Manager to oversee daily front-of-house operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences. This role is hands-on, guest-facing, and leadership-driven, with a strong focus on Mexican hospitality standards, team development, and service excellence.
The ideal candidate leads by example, communicates fluently in Spanish and English, and understands how to balance warmth, efficiency, and professionalism in a high-volume, quality-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service Standards
- Uphold and model elevated Mexican hospitality standards: warm greetings, attentive service, and genuine guest engagement
- Actively manage the dining room during service, anticipating guest needs and resolving issues in real time
- Maintain consistent service flow, pacing, and table management during high-volume periods
- Ensure all guests feel welcomed, valued, and cared for throughout their visit
Staff Leadership & Training
- Lead, motivate, and support front-of-house staff including servers, hosts, bartenders, and support staff
- Train and coach staff on service standards, menu knowledge, beverage programs, and guest interaction
- Conduct pre-shift meetings, communicate daily priorities, and reinforce expectations
- Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented culture
Operational Oversight
- Oversee floor execution, seating rotation, reservations, and waitlist management
- Monitor service quality, cleanliness, and presentation throughout the restaurant
- Coordinate closely with the kitchen and bar to ensure smooth communication and timing
- Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and labor efficiency as needed
Compliance & Professionalism
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
- Enforce company policies and standards consistently and fairly
- Handle guest feedback professionally and escalate issues when necessary
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of restaurant management or lead supervisory experience
- Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
- Strong knowledge of full-service dining operations
- Experience with Mexican or Latin-inspired cuisine and service culture strongly preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and guest-focused in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
