SUMMARY: Responsible for the implementation, development and maintenance of the company's training and education initiatives. Under the oversight of the Chief Compliance Officer, will plan, direct and coordinate all training and educations process within the organization and throughout the community. Oversee the Training and Education Coordinators as they prepare to offer innovative education and training, along with maintaining contractual obligations within Coastal Health Systems through training and education.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position is required to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality in regards to electronic records and all forms of proprietary information. Work products and/or protected information will not be shared or otherwise transferred outside of the company without the prior expressed consent of the President/CEO.
- Develops and maintains cooperative and professional relationships with employees, customers, and other stakeholders and collaborates within the organization.
- Complete written reports within established time frames; communicating actions to Chief Compliance Officer
- Assists in the review, revision and management of all companywide standard operating procedures, training manuals, materials and protocols.
- Assists as subject matter expert in Ninth Brain form development.
- Establish, monitor and audit educational and training performance in all organization divisions to ensure performance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Observes, receives and otherwise obtains information from all relevant sources regarding the organization's education and training efforts.
- Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events
- Works closely with other departments to align training and education efforts with the organization's overall goals.
- Serves as an instructor or other training initiatives as needed.
- Maintains a safe and healthy workplace in accordance with all appropriate OSHA standards, company policies and standard operating procedures.
- Participates in operational audit, training and compliance duties.
- Attend all meetings that may require departmental representation or input.
- Observes and complies strictly with all HIPAA policies and regulations.
- Reports timely to senior management significant deviations in training standards, clinical care or protocol.
- Attend internal/external meetings and/or public events as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Regular and prompt attendance is required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervisory duties include oversight of Training and Education Coordinators and as needed Quality Assurance Process Improvement (QAPI) Coordinators in a support capacity.
- Indirect oversight of other employees to ensure compliance with training and education initiatives and audit requirements as outlined by the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in emergency services, education, customer service management or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current Florida EMT and/or Paramedic, EVOC, American Heart Association BCLS Certification required, ACLS and PALS preferred.
- Two or more years EMT or Paramedic experience, preferred
- NAAC Documentation Specialist, AHA, ACLS, BCLS and PALS Instructor completed within six months of position
- Educational background with multimedia expertise preferred.
- Current Florida Driver License with driving record that meets company insurance requirements, preferred.
- Five years of experience in a position of responsibility, preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, networking, and training skills.
Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
Ability to deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels both internally and externally.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to read/write/speak/understand English language fluently.
Proficient in MS Office platforms

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used: ambulances, standard office equipment, medical equipment including stretchers
- Coastal is a 24/7/365 operation. As a healthcare organization, any employee may be requested or required at times to work outside of their traditional 'business hours' as scheduled by management. This may include evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and/or man-made or natural disaster situations, such as hurricanes, tropical storms, or Mass Casualty Incidents (MCI).
