We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This is a key position responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your role is vital to the smooth flow of goods within our logistics facility, ensuring products are handled correctly and safely. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move pallets of goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Stack and arrange inventory in designated areas.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on forklifts.
- Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and stock put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company logistics and safety procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Perform duties that may involve some manual lifting and physical work.
- Ensure accurate tracking of inventory movements.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Physical capability to perform tasks that may include lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work different shifts as required.
