Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Move and stack inventory accurately, maintaining organized storage areas.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and regulations, including the use of required PPE.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory counts and record keeping as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, ensuring clear pathways for operations.
- Comply with all Lifting policies and assist where necessary with heavy items.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up).
- Physical ability to perform tasks, including required Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Dependability and a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to Safety in all aspects of the job.
- Familiarity with PPE requirements for warehouse environments.
- Experience in logistics or supply chain is a significant advantage.
