We are looking for a reliable and efficient Order Picker to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be instrumental in the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled with speed and precision. This position offers a stable work environment within a leading logistics provider. Your primary duties will involve accurately locating and retrieving items from designated warehouse locations, meticulously checking order details against product codes, and preparing items for packaging and shipment. Attention to detail and a commitment to Safety are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Select and pull correct items from warehouse shelves as per picking lists or scanner prompts.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Use equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks to move items as needed.
- Maintain a high level of productivity while upholding quality standards.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged goods immediately.
- Contribute to maintaining an organized and clean workspace.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior warehouse experience, especially in order fulfillment, is advantageous.
- Proficiency with scanning devices and inventory management systems.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, and frequent Lifting throughout the shift. Maximum Lifting weight is 50 lbs.
- Keen eye for detail to minimize errors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and efficiency.
