About
Join our energetic team in Salt Lake City, Utah, as a Material Handler. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, focusing on the movement and organization of materials and inventory. You will be responsible for transporting goods within the facility, staging items for picking and packing, and ensuring that materials are readily available for all departments. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to Safety . You will utilize various equipment, including pallet jacks and potentially forklifts (if certified), to manage the flow of goods effectively and support our overall Logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Move and transport materials, inventory, and finished goods within the warehouse using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Stage materials for picking, packing, and shipping departments.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Follow all Safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a secure working environment.
- Wear all required PPE , such as safety shoes, vests, and gloves.
- Perform tasks involving regular Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Keep work areas clean and free of debris.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment proficiently.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, and Lifting .
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices and the importance of PPE .
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Logistics operations is a plus.
