Seeking a detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our Minneapolis, Minnesota team! In this role, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. You'll be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets and preparing them for shipment. This position requires a keen eye for detail, speed, and accuracy. You will also be responsible for packing items securely, ensuring they are ready for transit. Understanding warehouse layout and inventory management is essential. We emphasize a strong commitment to workplace safety , and all employees are required to follow established protocols and utilize PPE . This role involves considerable physical activity, including frequent Lifting and movement. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, using appropriate materials.
- Verify picked items against order lists to ensure accuracy.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and scanning devices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety .
- Adhere to all company policies, including the proper use of PPE .
- Perform quality checks on packed orders before shipment.
- Contribute to team goals and assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Regularly perform tasks involving moderate Lifting and bending.
- Support our critical logistics function by ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a picking/packing or warehouse environment preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order tickets and product labels.
- Proficiency in performing manual Lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace safety and familiarity with PPE .
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Experience with logistics or shipping software is a plus.
