We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to manage the flow of goods within our warehouse. Your expertise will directly impact our logistics efficiency, ensuring timely movement of inventory from receiving to shipping. We prioritize workplace safety above all else, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE , is expected. This position involves extensive Lifting and requires a physically fit individual. You will perform tasks such as loading and unloading trucks, moving materials to designated areas, and assisting with inventory management. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and organize materials.
- Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles and into shipping containers.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stocktaking activities.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, ensuring aisles and exits are clear.
- Strictly follow all company safety guidelines and wear designated PPE at all times.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall team productivity.
- Regularly engage in physical tasks including substantial Lifting .
- Support our critical logistics operations through efficient material handling.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to handle repetitive Lifting and operate heavy machinery.
- Proficiency in using appropriate PPE for warehouse environments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry is a plus.
