Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable Material Handler to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. This position is integral to our warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods. The Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, stocking, and preparing materials for production or shipment. We are committed to maintaining a safe work environment, and all employees are expected to follow strict safety protocols and utilize appropriate PPE . This role offers a great opportunity to be part of a key logistics hub.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Transport materials from receiving areas to designated storage locations using hand trucks or pallet jacks.
  • Stock and organize materials efficiently and accurately within the warehouse.
  • Pick and prepare materials for production or outbound shipment as requested.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to housekeeping standards.
  • Perform routine checks on material handling equipment and report any malfunctions.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
  • Load and unload trucks as required, ensuring safe handling practices.
  • Contribute to team efforts by completing other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment is beneficial.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
  • Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to wear all required PPE , such as safety glasses and gloves.
