We are hiring certified Forklift Operators for our facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse, supporting our overall logistics operations. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. A strong commitment to workplace safety , adherence to operating procedures, and the correct use of PPE are critical requirements for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload products from trucks, ensuring accuracy and preventing damage.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and packed items to designated areas.
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklift equipment.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through proper placement and retrieval of stock.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety rules and regulations.
- Ensure the correct and consistent use of all mandated PPE .
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, following housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet production targets.
- Report any accidents, near misses, or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification or proven experience operating forklifts.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a forklift operator role.
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Knowledge of proper safety procedures and best practices for forklift operation.
- Ability to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess good communication skills.
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE at all times.
