We are hiring Warehouse Workers to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods. Responsibilities include receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, possess a strong work ethic, and are committed to maintaining a safe working environment. As a Warehouse Worker, you will be an integral part of our logistics chain, and adherence to all safety regulations and the use of PPE is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload materials from trucks, verifying contents against manifests.
- Sort, organize, and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick items based on order requests using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Pack products securely for shipment, ensuring quality and preventing damage.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with discrepancy investigations.
- Follow all company procedures, including those related to safety and the proper use of PPE .
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Report any potential hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar fast-paced environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety best practices.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to teamwork.
- Willingness to work in varying temperatures and wear required PPE .
- Basic knowledge of warehouse management systems is beneficial.
