Part-Time Housekeeper – St. Mary's Parish (Rectory & Parish Office)
Employment Type: Part-Time (8 hours per week)
Location: St. Mary's Rectory & Parish Office
Hours: One weekday per week during regular office hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.)
St. Mary's Parish is seeking a reliable and dedicated Part-Time Housekeeper to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment in the rectory living quarters and parish office space. This position supports the daily life of our parish community by ensuring facilities are cared for with attention to detail, respect, and professionalism. The successful candidate will be a proactive team player who works well independently, takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and contributes positively to a healthy and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
As Part-Time Housekeeper, you will:
- Clean residential spaces including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen areas, and common rooms with care and thoroughness.
- Clean parish office areas, ensuring workspaces are tidy, sanitized, and presentable.
- Wash and dry household linens and rectory laundry using provided washing machines and dryers.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment; communicate supply needs to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Follow instructions and procedures provided by supervisors, completing tasks efficiently and with attention to detail.
- Uphold the highest standards of respect, confidentiality, and ethical behavior in all activities.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience
We welcome applicants who demonstrate:
- Strong communication skills in English
- Previous experience in residential and/or office cleaning, with a keen eye for detail.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating well with others.
- A commitment to a consistent weekly schedule.
- A satisfactory Police Records Check (or willingness to obtain one).
