Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve meals that meet dietary guidelines and customer preferences, ensuring high-quality food presentation and taste
  • Assist in menu planning by incorporating balanced nutrition, variety, and appealing flavors tailored to specific dietary requirements
  • Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, cooking, plating, and portioning with precision and attention to safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Support catering events or special meal services by coordinating food setup, serving, and cleanup processes
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure freshness throughout all stages of meal preparation
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional food service experiences that promote customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred
  • Strong background in food industry settings such as restaurants, catering, or fine dining environments
  • Proven skills in menu planning, meal preparation, cooking techniques, and food presentation
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
  • Experience with food handling tools such as knives and kitchen equipment; excellent knife skills are a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food service operations
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and understanding customer needs
