A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support an elementary school setting in Waterbury, CT. Responsibilities Include
- Assisting speech-language pathologists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
- Supporting students with speech, language, and communication goals during scheduled sessions
- Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records
- Collaborating with educators and support staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom
- Participating in team meetings to discuss strategies and student outcomes
Qualifications
- Certification or current eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working in a school setting preferred, especially with elementary-aged children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to follow therapy plans and provide consistent support
- Dependability and a positive attitude toward collaboration and student growth
