About
This position requires strong proficiency in Revit and SketchUp, a solid understanding of construction and steel fabrication, and the ability to translate design information into accurate, buildable drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Drafting:
- Create and maintain detailed 3D models in Revit and SketchUp for container structures and related components.
- Produce clear and accurate construction drawings — including plans, sections, details, and weld callouts.
- Interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings and integrate them into coordinated project models.
- Work with clients to review drawings, gather feedback, and obtain approvals prior to production.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and shop teams to clarify design intent and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain organized drawing files, manage revisions, and ensure proper version control.
- Communicate professionally with clients to clarify requirements, discuss updates, and resolve issues.
- Provide clear explanations of design changes and ensure client expectations are aligned throughout the project.
- Proficiency with Revit and SketchUp.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and engineering documents.
- Understanding of steel construction principles and welding practices.
- Experience producing construction drawings directly from 3D models.
- Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable interacting directly with clients and internal teams.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
