Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

About the Opportunity:

This team uses technology to improve health outcomes for millions of members nationwide. The role involves planning and overseeing the configuration of software and infrastructure services on the cloud platform to support these efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Build and support the administration of cloud-based environments

• Develop and execute code-based CI/CD deployment plans for new and existing infrastructure based on standards and best practices

• Develop and implement monitoring solutions to improve visibility into performance and reliability of cloud environments

• Collaborate with Development, Network, and Security groups to integrate their requirements into environment build plans

• Build and maintain capacity plans for cloud-based deployments

• Design, build, and deploy cloud applications at the direction of lead architects, including large-scale data processing and advanced analytics

• Deliver continuous integration and delivery pipelines by enabling common DevSecOps tooling and supporting automated builds, tests, and deployments

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Comply with all policies and standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) plus 4 to 6 years of related experience, or equivalent knowledge and skills

• Experience with one or more infrastructure as code tools such as Cloud Formation, Terraform, or Cloud Deployment Manager

• Experience with Amazon Web Services and Ansible

• Experience with Puppet

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C, Scala, Python, Erlang, Docker, Swarm, Kubernetes, or Cloud Foundry

• Knowledge of networking and firewall concepts and troubleshooting

• Familiarity with automation languages such as Shell Scripting, Python, or Golang

• Intermediate analytical, project management, and decision-making skills

• Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy under pressure

Compensation:

• Pay range: $87,000.00 to $161,300.00 per year

• Actual pay adjusted based on skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors, including full-time or part-time status

• Total compensation may include additional incentives

• Benefits subject to program eligibility
