Position Overview

Our Family Office is seeking an Associate to join our organization. The role is intended for candidates with 1-3 years prior experience in investing or investment banking who are seeking a role with meaningful exposure, responsibility and learning in a principal investing environment.

This role will play a meaningful part in the full investment lifecycle, including opportunity evaluation, due diligence, transaction execution, and ongoing portfolio management, reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer.

The position is based in New York City and requires in-person attendance five days per week at our office in Midtown. We are proud to offer a competitive base salary, performance-based bonus, and comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth research and due diligence on prospective investments and or/broader investment themes
  • Conduct rigorous financial analysis and modeling, including but not limited to historical performance analysis, forward projections, return analysis, and downside scenario assessment
  • Assist in preparation of investment analyses and supporting materials for internal review and Investment Committee
  • Attend and actively contribute to internal and external meetings, on-site diligence sessions, conferences, and other relevant meetings
  • Maintain regular contact with key contacts across the portfolio, attend board meetings, and assist in identifying and evaluating opportunities to support value creation
  • Work cross-functionally within the Family Office on investment reporting, treasury, tax management, operations, and legal
  • Maintain detailed records, notes, financial models, and documentation throughout the diligence, execution, and ownership lifecycle
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with other investors, sponsors, third-party advisors, industry participants, and financing providers
  • Consistently exercises a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Prior experience in investing or investment banking
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and fundamental accounting principles
  • Solid grasp of core investing and transaction fundamentals
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, technical aptitude, and eagerness to learn
  • Low-ego, team-oriented mindset with strong moral character, maturity, and judgment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite; candidates will be required to successfully complete a financial modeling assessment
