About the Role
Shiloh Baptist Church is seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee and maintain the Church's accounting system and financial operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with internal policies. The Controller will implement and manage accounting software, supervise staff, and provide strategic financial guidance to leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit Support: Prepare working papers, assist auditors, and review audit reports.
- Accounting Operations: Implement and manage accounting software; monitor cash receipts and disbursements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing and monitoring the annual budget; provide variance analysis and financial forecasts.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and cash flow projections.
- Investment Oversight: Consult on and monitor investment of liquid assets.
- Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal control procedures.
- Leadership: Supervise accounting and payroll staff; conduct performance reviews; mentor and coach team members.
- Other Duties: Coordinate special projects, ensure data backup, and maintain confidentiality protocols.
Pay: $79, $89,000.00 per year
