Construction Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members on-site. Our company specializes in residential and light commercial marine construction in Southeast Virginia. We are willing to train workers to learn the ins and outs of marine construction.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cleanup of construction sites.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to complete tasks as directed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Help with the installation of marine structures.
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
• Job will include nailing, heavy lifting, working in a marine environment, saws, water pumps, and pile driving. Transportation required and a willingness to travel to marine job sites in the Newport News, Hampton, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Smithfield, and Suffolk areas.

Experience

• Previous experience in construction or labor-intensive roles is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions accurately.
• A commitment to teamwork and collaboration on site.
• Starting pay dependent on skill level and interview
