Kurt Manufacturing is looking for a quality engineer who has what it takes to succeed in our dynamic, contract machining environment. The individual we are looking for has at least four years of experience in a quality engineer or quality support role, is detail oriented, motivated, and a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills.

This person also has the ability to effectively interact with customers, has experience with developing quality control plans, performing mechanical inspections using a variety of hand gauges, has knowledge of GD&T, and has been exposed to quality tools (capability studies, SPC, problem solving, corrective actions, etc.).

Shift/Hours: 1st Shift Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Compensation

The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $79,000 to $105,000. The exact salary may be determined on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.

Essential Functions

  • Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials and products.
  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical or mechanical.
  • Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instruction for recording, evaluation and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED
  • 4 years of related experience

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 10 years of related experience
  • ASQ Certification
  • APICS Certification
