Suspension Technician

We are seeking an experienced Suspension Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and upgrade suspension systems on a variety of vehicles, including light trucks and passenger cars. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with alignments, shocks, struts, ball joints, control arms, tie rods, and other suspension components.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair suspension and steering systems, including shocks, struts, ball joints, control arms, and tie rods.
• Perform vehicle alignments to manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect and replace worn suspension components.
• Test drive vehicles to ensure proper repairs and handling.
• Recommend necessary repairs and explain issues to customers when needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Keep up with industry best practices and advancements in suspension technology.
• Work efficiently to meet service deadlines and customer expectations.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a suspension mechanic or similar role.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle suspension and steering systems, brake systems, and general PM services.
• Tools: Own basic tools; shop provides specialty tools and equipment.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Team Player: Ability to work well with a team in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Work Ethic: Reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.
• Certifications (Preferred but Not Required): ASE Certification in Steering & Suspension or related field.
• Required HunterAlignment Equipment Experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50, $90,000.00 per year
