Duties

Environmental Compliance

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., air, water, waste, hazardous materials).
  • Maintain environmental permits, records, and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct environmental inspections, audits, and sampling as needed.
  • Support sustainability initiatives such as waste reduction, energy efficiency, and recycling programs.

Health & Safety Programs

  • Develop and enforce workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments.
  • Perform regular safety inspections, audits, and workplace observations.
  • Maintain injury/illness logs and coordinate incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
  • Ensure availability, maintenance, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Training and Communication

  • Deliver EHS training such as OSHA required programs, emergency response, hazard communication, and ergonomics.
  • Communicate regulatory changes, safety alerts, and best practices to employees and leadership.
  • Support emergency response planning and drills.

Continuous Improvement & Support

  • Recommend corrective and preventive actions to reduce risk and improve safety culture.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support facility and process changes, ensuring EHS considerations are integrated.
  • Work with contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with EHS requirements.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • 5 plus years of EHS experience in manufacturing, construction, logistics, or similar environments.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, CHST, ASP, CSP) are a plus.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related regulatory standards.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Ability to conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
