Core hours 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (flexible)

Contract Duration:
12 months (with possible extension)

Position Overview:

The Senior Program Manager – Engineering will lead cross-functional teams in the execution of engineering and remediation projects focused on bringing on-market products into compliance with global State-of-the-Art standards. This role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of assigned programs, driving corrective actions, and delivering solutions that meet quality, regulatory, schedule, and cost objectives.The position applies established project management best practices, tools, and methodologies to successfully meet or exceed stakeholder expectations while building strong working relationships across engineering, quality, regulatory, and operations teams.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead small to medium-scale engineering projects that have a direct impact on business objectives.
  • Establish and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including globally distributed resources, to support product sustainment and compliance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders, project managers, and internal stakeholders to develop and execute robust project plans in alignment with organizational policies and processes.
  • Develop detailed project plans covering scope, schedule, resources, risk, and deliverables.
  • Manage implementation activities including resource allocation, progress tracking, change control, testing, documentation, training, and on-time delivery within budget constraints.
  • Assign tasks, define responsibilities, and establish accountability to achieve project and product goals.
  • Ensure achievement of product quality objectives, time-to-market milestones, and cost targets.
  • Manage labor, operating expenses, and capital expenditures to support approved project budgets.
  • Monitor project and product status, identify variances, and apply effective change management techniques to address risks and issues.
  • Develop and maintain RACI matrices, project metrics, and regular status reporting.
  • Manage external partners and suppliers as needed, and provide regular project updates to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in project management, including scheduling, resource planning, risk management, financial oversight, and partner or contract management.
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve challenging objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster collaboration and execution.
  • Solid business acumen with a results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with project management and productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience, preferably leading multidisciplinary teams in new product development or product sustainment environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • Applied knowledge of EU MDR and other international medical device regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working in regulated medical device or life sciences environments.
  • Experience managing globally distributed project teams.
