About

Responsibilities: - Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen and ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards - Create and develop new menu items, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and customer preferences - Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain stock levels - Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as necessary - Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations - Collaborate with other departments, such as the dietary department or restaurant management, to coordinate food production for special events or banquets - Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality Qualifications: - Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably in a restaurant or food industry setting - Strong knowledge of food production techniques, food preparation methods, and food safety standards - Ability to supervise and lead a team of kitchen staff, providing clear instructions and guidance - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment - Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Creativity and passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, management, and customers Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
