Security Officer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to loss prevention, effective conflict management skills, and the ability to respond swiftly to emergencies. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring premises through surveillance systems, conducting regular patrols, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Duties:

• Maintain integrity and security of the Main Gate Area.
• Ensure all persons entering the facility possess a valid TWIC Card. If they do not, ensure that those individuals are escorted by a valid TWIC Card holder.
• Receive incoming emergency calls for assistance, and notify plant personnel of the emergency via the plant speaker system.
• Make notifications to outside agencies as directed by Management and/or Supervision.
• Randomly screen vehicles and pedestrians entering & exiting the plant per the current MarSec Level.
• Inspect all trucks and carrier vehicles leaving the premises for contraband.
• Participate in all required training, drills, and exercises.
• Maintain vigilance and observation of the CCTV Monitors. Ensure that no non-security personnel or non-TWIC holders enter the Main Gate Building. This is a Restricted Area.
• Respond to security and emergency incidents. Investigate incidents and write detailed reports.
• Patrol the facility and perimeter either on foot or by vehicle. Inspect the perimeter fence line for integrity and viability. Make notifications through the chain of command of any deficiencies.
• Provide a security presence within the facility. Be observant to any suspicious persons, vehicles, packages, or any other security threats that may be present within the facility.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Security: 2 years (Preferred)
• Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• TWIC Card (Required)
• Driver's License (Required)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Preferred)
• Night Shift (Preferred)
• Overnight Shift (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Luling, LA Required)
