Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and precise entry
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards and food safety protocols
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders in a fast-paced environment
- Support team members during busy hours by managing multiple tables and prioritizing tasks effectively
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or food service experience, especially in fine dining or nightclub environments, is highly preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and sales revenue
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management
- Experience with food industry tools like culinary knowledge or kitchen experience is advantageous
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment
