Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for monitoring the performance of the heat treat furnaces, loading and unloading of parts and ensures consistent quality of parts within design specifications and tolerance by performing the following duties personally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Should be highly skilled in shop operations (furnace controller operation and all processing procedures). After training, general functions are assisting in packing or unpacking customer parts, verify counts and condition of parts with purchase orders and during various stages of processing, masking parts, racking, and loading parts and sandblasting parts.
Attends training sessions required for specific job functions as well as periodic review and refresher meetings. Responsibility to follow: Nitrex HTS Health & Safety Manual, Hazard Communication & QA Program. Interfaces with QA on all jobs in process/other discrepancies.
Follows operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials. Keeps clean work areas in warehouse and equipment. Takes customer parts out of their containers and places them in racks and baskets . Remove parts from fixtures racks or baskets, Cleans and or polishes parts, as needed, sandblasters, or other polishing/cleaning devices, Packs and unpacks parts to and from customer's containers.
Follows work order for parts, repairs, and requisitions for replacement of parts or equipment. Monitors and checks on all processes on an ongoing basis.
Confers with Supervisor to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as: production, shipping and receiving.
Follows directions for salvage of damaged or used materials.
Follows directions for personnel safety and plant protection activities. Maintains a safe work environment. Operates forklifts, cranes & programmable controllers.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
No supervisory responsibilities for line operators/skilled laborer.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school education and work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, write and interpret general business forms, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write daily simple reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from: managers, supervisor, customers, and other employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet, Plant inventory, Manufacturing, Order processing systems.
