Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Director to lead engaging and meaningful programs for our Independent Senior Residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in event planning, recreational therapy, and working with seniors. This role involves developing and coordinating a variety of activities that promote socialization, cognitive engagement, and overall well-being within a supportive environment. The Activities Director will collaborate with staff, families, and community resources to enhance residents' quality of life through tailored programming and compassionate care.

Duties

  • Plan, organize, and execute a calendar of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities, including arts and crafts, outings, games, music therapy, and special events.
  • Manage scheduling of activities to ensure consistent participation and accommodate individual preferences.
  • Foster a positive environment that encourages social interaction, emotional well-being, and community involvement among residents.
  • Communicate effectively with residents' families regarding activity participation and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards during all activities and maintain a clean, organized activity space.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in event planning and recreational therapy.
  • Strong communication skills to engage residents with diverse needs effectively.
  • Ability to manage schedules efficiently while adapting to changing resident needs.
  • Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in enhancing the quality of life for seniors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
