JOB OVERVIEW

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the plant, equipment, and facility in safe, working condition. This is a hands-on role that involves daily repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building issues to minimize downtime.

DUTIES

• Perform daily and routine maintenance on the facility and shop areas
• Repair doors, windows, walls, flooring, and other structural components
• Fix plumbing issues including leaks, drains, and fixtures
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical problems such as outlets, lighting, and damaged wiring
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on HVAC equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and costly repairs
• Identify and correct safety hazards before they cause injuries or downtime
• Paint and perform general facility upkeep as needed
• Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other shop equipment
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests to keep production moving
• Document completed work and report larger issues that require outside support

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent (trade school or vocational training a plus)
• Proven hands-on experience as a Maintenance Technician, Industrial Maintenance Worker, or similar role
• Minimum of four (4) years operating forklifts
• Minimum of four (4) years operating scissor lifts
• Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
• Able to read basic drawings, manuals, and instructions
• Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
• Willing to work overtime when production demands it
• Physically able to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work indoors and outdoors
