We are looking for talented, motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow with us over the long term./ph3About The Job/h3pEdgestream is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and monitoring of our data pipelines. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer with strong Python skills, a solid technical foundation, and a demonstrated ability to take initiative and solve problems independently./ppYou will work closely with senior data engineers, data scientists, and researchers, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of financial datafrom ingestion and validation to research and live trading systems./ppstrongResponsibilities:/strong/pulliAssist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of data pipelines used to ingest, process, and store financial data./liliDevelop and maintain Python-based tools for data retrieval, transformation, validation, and analysis./liliMonitor data pipelines and help identify, diagnose, and resolve data quality or operational issues./liliSupport the onboarding of new data sources for both historical research and real-time trading systems./liliPerform exploratory and validation analyses to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness./liliContribute to internal monitoring, logging, and reporting tools./liliWork in a Linux-based, distributed computing environment./liliCollaborate closely with senior data engineers, data scientists, portfolio managers, researchers, and trading operations staff./liliProactively identify opportunities to improve reliability, performance, or clarity within existing systems./li/ulpstrongQualifications:/strong/pulliBachelors or Masters degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related quantitative discipline./liliStrong proficiency in Python, including experience with libraries such as Pandas and NumPy./liliDemonstrate problem-solving ability and willingness to take ownership of tasks and follow them through to completion./liliFamiliarity with data processing concepts such as ETL, data validation, and schema management./liliBasic experience with one or more of the following is a plus:/liulliSQL / relational databases (e.g., Postgres)/liliLinux/UNIX environments and command-line tools/liliVersion control systems (e.g., Git)/li/ulliAbility to communicate clearly and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment./liliIntellectual curiosity and an eagerness to learn new tools, systems, and domains./liliNo prior experience in finance is required./li/ulpstrongSome of the benefits of working at Edgestream:/strong/pulliCompetitive salary, bonus, and incentive compensation based on overall company performance./liliOutstanding technical and data resources accumulated over decades of systematic trading./liliComprehensive, first-class benefits, including excellent medical and dental coverage, 401(k), HRA, FSA, and life insurance, catered lunch, and an onsite gym./liliFor qualified employees, the opportunity to invest in Edgestream-managed funds./liliA collaborative, intellectually rigorous environment with strong mentorship and long-term growth opportunities./li/ul/div
