The Opportunity
As
Embedded Design Team Lead , you'll take ownership of the day-to-day leadership of a skilled team of engineers working on some of the
most exciting and technically challenging embedded systems in defence . You'll play a key role in: Leading, coaching and developing engineers Planning workloads, bids and delivery commitments Driving continuous improvement and modern engineering practices Owning and overseeing technical work packages from concept through to delivery
This role blends
people leadership, technical authority and project management , making it ideal for someone who enjoys staying close to the engineering while shaping direction and outcomes. The portfolio includes: Advanced DSP systems (image processing, software-defined radios) Complex SoC-based embedded platforms Safety- and security-critical systems Latest embedded technologies from leading vendors (e.g. Xilinx, Intel, TI, Analog Devices)
You'll be part of a
highly regarded, multi-disciplinary engineering environment

What We're Looking For
Proven
team leadership or line management experience Background in
Digital Hardware Design, FPGA/Firmware, or Embedded Software Strong understanding of
embedded system architecture and partitioning
(software vs FPGA) Experience integrating and testing embedded systems on hardware platforms Confident communicator who can
motivate, influence and inspire Delivery-focused mindset with experience in
planning, budgeting or project leadership A natural driver of
innovation, improvement and engineering best practice

Security & Eligibility Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be
British citizens
