What You’ll Be Doing:As an Electrical Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with internal customers to build strong working relationships and ensure their needs are met.
- Installing a variety of instrumentation across the site to capture our customers’ requirements.
- Troubleshooting and repairing legacy equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
- Partnering with BAE Systems’ supply chain and equipment suppliers to deliver top-notch solutions.
- Supporting factory acceptance trials and submarine system trials, analyzing results as needed.
- Conducting peer reviews and verification tasks as directed.
- Assisting with Certificate of Design activities.
- Providing specialist support for qualification, legislative requirements, and safety justifications.
Essential:
- Strong knowledge of Electrical and Electronic Principles .
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing complex instrumentation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical and schematic drawings.
- Demonstrable experience in defining and conducting test procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Desirable:
- EngTech (or the ability to meet EngTech requirements).

In this role, you will support senior and principal engineers during the development of testing regimes and verification activities for platform electronic systems. Your contributions will include analysis and the production of technical reports that support system verification.
