Join Our Team as a Senior/Principal Platform Systems Mechanical Engineer!

Location: Barrow-in-Furness (Full-time on-site presence required)

What You'll Be Doing:

As a key player in our Mechanical Platform Systems team, you will:

  • Develop design evidence to ensure a safe and effective design, boosting customer confidence .
  • Specify and assist in building prototypes, products, and systems for testing.
  • Provide timely corrective actions on all assigned defects and issues.
  • Ensure commitments are agreed upon, reviewed, and met.
  • Mentor junior engineers on technical matters.
  • Present effectively to both technical and management audiences, staying updated on novel technical concepts.
  • Author and co-author technical reports, papers, articles, patents, and presentations as needed.
Your Skills and Experiences:

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in Engineering, Mechanical, or Science subjects.
  • The ability to create design documentation and present it to customers and wider groups.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex engineering calculations.
  • Proficiency in CAD, MS Office, and comfort with other IT applications.
