About
We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our Madison, Wisconsin facility! This role is the backbone of our order fulfillment process. You will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves according to order lists and then carefully packing them for shipment. Success in this role depends on speed, accuracy, and attention to detail to ensure our customers receive the correct products in excellent condition. This position is crucial for our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory based on order specifications using scanning devices or pick lists.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and use required PPE .
- Support other warehouse functions as directed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Physical capacity to handle frequent bending, reaching, and lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking and packing.
- Basic understanding of warehouse procedures and logistics .
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is desirable.
