Join our busy warehouse as a Material Handler in Huntsville, Alabama! This role is essential for the smooth flow of materials within our facility. You will be responsible for moving, organizing, and managing inventory, ensuring that all materials are accessible and accounted for. The Material Handler plays a key part in our logistics operations, supporting production and shipping departments. This position requires physical stamina and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors, safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Organize warehouse stock and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored according to specifications.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE .
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role preferred.
- Proven ability to operate various material handling equipment.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
