Job Summary:
Are you detail-oriented and precise? We are hiring an Inventory Control Specialist in Des Moines, Iowa, to oversee and manage our warehouse inventory. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of our stock levels, which is fundamental to our Logistics operations and overall business success. You will be responsible for tracking inventory, conducting audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to maintain optimal stock accuracy. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to Safety are essential. Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using our WMS.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
  • Track the movement of goods in and out of the warehouse.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Coordinate with the receiving and shipping departments to ensure accurate data entry.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
  • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment, following all Safety protocols.
  • Report on inventory levels and accuracy to management.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (WMS).
  • Familiarity with Logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 30 pounds.
  • Commitment to workplace Safety and proper use of PPE.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members.
