About
Are you organized and detail-oriented? We have an exciting opportunity for a Receiving Clerk at our Washington, D.C. facility. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all deliveries are accurately documented and processed efficiently. Your role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our inventory and supporting the overall logistics operations. We are looking for individuals who understand the importance of precise record-keeping and are committed to a safe and orderly receiving process.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Accurately document all received items, including quantities and product information.
- Tag and prepare received items for stocking or further processing.
- Maintain organized receiving areas and ensure clear pathways for operations.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols, including the use of required PPE and safe Lifting techniques.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely if certified and trained.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or a related field is beneficial.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to Safety and maintaining a secure work environment.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
