Britalicious is a boutique British-inspired afternoon tea catering company known for refined presentation, thoughtful service, and beautifully executed tea experiences. We specialize in bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays, and intimate celebrations for a primarily female clientele who value elegance, warmth, and attention to detail.

We are seeking a Catering Assistant / Event Server to support our kitchen preparation, event setup, and guest service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, takes pride in presentation, and appreciates the charm and standards of traditional afternoon tea service.

Position Overview

This is a hands-on, hybrid role that includes kitchen prep, event setup, and guest-facing service. Team members assist in executing calm, polished events while maintaining the Britalicious standard of care, grace, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities: Kitchen & Preparation Support

• Assist with preparing tea sandwiches, including assembly, trimming, cutting, and packing
• Assist with light baking and dessert preparation as needed
• Package and label food items neatly and consistently
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the commercial kitchen
• Assist with packing food, serving ware, décor, and rental items

Event Setup & Styling

• Assist with event setup, including tables, linens, tiered stands, and décor
• Handle vintage-style teaware and serving pieces with care
• Follow layout and styling guidance to ensure a polished presentation

Server & Guest-Facing Duties

• Serve tea, food, and desserts in a professional and gracious manner
• Refill tiered stands and teapots as needed
• Clear plates and maintain a tidy service area
• Engage with guests politely while maintaining a calm, refined presence
• Support smooth service flow throughout the event

Breakdown & Clean-Up

• Assist with event breakdown, packing, and return of equipment and rentals
• Ensure all items are cleaned, organized, and accounted for

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Reliable transportation required, as event locations may be up to 60 miles from our base in Chino, CA
• Availability on weekends and select weekdays (event-based schedule)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate items
• Ability to follow food safety and hygiene standards
• Comfortable performing guest-facing service duties
• Ability to take direction, work collaboratively, and maintain professionalism in event settings

Prior catering, serving, or hospitality experience is a plus but not required. Training will be provided.

Schedule & Compensation

• Part-time, event-based hours
• Most events occur on weekends
• Hourly pay based on experience
