Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activity Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities tailored to their interests and needs. The ideal candidate will have a background in caregiving, particularly in assisted living or senior care environments, and possess strong organizational skills to manage schedules effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and execute a variety of recreational and social activities for residents, ensuring they are engaging and aligned with their interests.
- Coordinate with staff to facilitate events that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Manage schedules for activities, ensuring all residents have the opportunity to participate.
- Work closely with individuals with a range of abilities, providing support and assistance as needed during activities.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
- Document participation and feedback from residents to continuously improve activity offerings.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to understand the needs and preferences of residents.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in care-giving or working in assisted living environments is preferred.
- Strong skills in schedule management and event planning.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or memory care is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- A genuine passion for enhancing the lives of seniors through meaningful activities.
- Must be patient, empathetic, and able to adapt activities based on individual resident needs.
