Are you a certified Forklift Operator with a passion for efficiency? Join our growing logistics team in Tampa, Florida! We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and manage the flow of goods within our warehouse. This role is fundamental to our daily operations, ensuring that materials are moved accurately and safely. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent attention to detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. You will be instrumental in loading, unloading, and organizing inventory, contributing directly to our supply chain's success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper placement and securing of goods.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping processes as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, free from safety hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with the team.
- Ensure all logistics activities are performed with accuracy and timeliness.
- Properly manage required documentation for all forklift operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years of proven forklift operation experience.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-approved).
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 lbs.
- Solid understanding of warehouse logistics and material handling procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic warehouse environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety vests, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety regulations and operating guidelines.
