Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Washington, D.C. This role is crucial for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to operate various types of forklifts with proficiency. You will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, relocating inventory, and ensuring that all operations are conducted in accordance with established safety protocols and company policies.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
  • Load and unload trailers in a timely manner, ensuring product integrity.
  • Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, free from hazards.
  • Adhere to all PPE requirements and warehouse safety guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock placement as needed.
  • Follow all instructions from supervisors and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Properly manage required documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of colleagues.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement in warehouse operations and logistics.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required (up to 50 lbs).
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and evenings.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE at all times.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
