Join our growing team as a Material Handler in San Antonio, Texas! We are looking for individuals dedicated to supporting our warehouse operations by efficiently moving, organizing, and preparing materials. This role is key to our logistics network, ensuring that goods are handled with care and precision from receipt to dispatch. You will work with a variety of materials and equipment, playing an essential part in maintaining a smooth and productive workflow. A focus on safety and efficiency is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and stage materials and products for various warehouse operations.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Assist in picking and packing orders as needed.
- Ensure all materials are handled correctly to prevent damage.
- Follow all established safety protocols, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to all workplace safety standards.
- Report any damaged goods or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain process through efficient material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, and moving for extended periods.
- Familiarity with basic material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
