We are seeking a motivated and reliable Distribution Center Associate to join our dynamic team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is crucial to our overall logistics operations, ensuring that products are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the distribution center, contributing to the seamless flow of goods from receipt to shipment. Your dedication to teamwork and adherence to company policies will be key to your success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for outgoing shipments.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all areas are free of hazards.
- Perform inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Identify and report any damages or discrepancies in inventory.
- Participate in ongoing training and team meetings to improve efficiency and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety guidelines.
