About
A fantastic opportunity awaits a Material Handler at our Miami, Florida facility. This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our warehouse and logistics processes. You will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and transferring raw materials, components, and finished goods within the warehouse. This includes operating various types of material handling equipment. Your contribution ensures that inventory is organized and readily available for production and shipping. We are looking for individuals who are safety-conscious, possess good physical stamina, and can work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to production or shipping areas.
- Stack and arrange materials to ensure stability and efficient use of space.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from hazards.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating material handling equipment, with valid certifications preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, regularly up to 60 pounds.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics flow.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions (warehouse may not always be climate-controlled).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety shoes and hi-visibility vests.
- Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as needed.
