About
We are seeking a meticulous and energetic Picker/Packer to join our team in Washington, D.C. This role is critical for ensuring that customer orders are accurately assembled and prepared for dispatch. You will be responsible for the precise picking of items from our inventory and the careful packing of these items to ensure they reach our customers in perfect condition. Working within our logistics hub, you will contribute to a seamless flow of goods. This position demands a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and physical stamina, including regular Lifting of products. Maintaining a safe work environment is a top priority, and all employees are required to follow strict Safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE . We value diligence and offer a supportive team atmosphere. Your role is integral to our daily Logistics operations and overall customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve products from warehouse locations using order sheets or scanning devices.
- Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack orders securely, selecting appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and any necessary documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe packing station.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety guidelines and wear mandated PPE .
- Assist in managing inventory levels and conducting cycle counts.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily shipping targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a picking and packing role within a warehouse setting is highly desirable.
- Capability to handle frequent Lifting of up to 45 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
- Understanding of Logistics procedures and shipping requirements.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of workplace Safety .
