This position involves significant physical demands, including regular lifting of various package sizes and weights, as well as extended periods of standing and walking. Safety is paramount; you will be trained on all safety procedures and provided with the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners or other technology.
- Inspect items for defects or damage before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and ensure products are securely packed.
- Label packages correctly for shipping and distribution.
- Maintain accurate records of picked and packed items.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and protocols, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Keep the packing station and work area clean and organized.
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role.
- Demonstrated ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
- Understanding of logistics and shipping processes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
