We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator for our growing facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your role is critical in ensuring the smooth flow of inventory throughout our warehouse. Responsibilities include operating various types of forklifts, loading and unloading trailers, and transporting materials to and from designated areas. You will also conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and report any maintenance needs. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, store, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers accurately and efficiently.
- Transport inventory to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance checks on forklifts and related equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through system updates.
- Follow all company Safety procedures and warehouse protocols.
- Adhere to established logistics workflows to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Assist with other warehouse operations as directed.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification and proven experience (2+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in operating multiple types of forklifts.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting of heavy loads up to 70 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems is a plus.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety glasses, vests, and steel-toed boots.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with general logistics operations.
