Seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. This role is pivotal in managing the outbound flow of products, ensuring all shipments are accurately documented, processed, and dispatched efficiently. You will be responsible for coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping labels, generating Bills of Lading, and verifying shipment contents. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and a commitment to accuracy are essential. This position requires individuals who are organized, proactive, and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously within a dynamic warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outbound shipments accurately.
- Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation, including Bills of Lading.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track deliveries.
- Verify shipment contents against order manifests to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain organized records of all shipped items.
- Communicate with internal teams and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and other warehouse duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and general computer applications.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform some manual lifting, up to 30 lbs.
- Familiarity with shipping regulations and logistics best practices.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
